The last of Us II

Yesterday we finished playing The Last of Us II.

The low guitar chords are still resonating in the bottom of my throat.

You can sense in your skin when you're face to face to a real art masterpiece when it not only feeds your eyes stunningly, keeps you thrilled to a story line until the very end or makes you genuinely sob in empathy... but when you see its power to change society. This game is not "only" a game. It's a shout out to freedom against oppression; it puts a voice to those that are generally looked away by the general public; it speaks up about race, gender, sexuality, stereotypes, human rights... in a direct yet not indoctrinative way. 

I can just take my hat off to the whole team of Naughty Dog and do this little fanart of my favorite character as a thank you. Keep changing history with your art. <3

Ayer terminamos de jugar al The Last of Us II.

Los acordes graves de su guitarra todavía me rascan el fondo de la garganta.

Uno puede sentir cuando está delante de una verdadera obra maestra cuando no sólo te alimenta los ojos visualmente, te mantiene en vilo con cada diálogo de su historia hasta el final o te hace sollozar de empatía... sino cuando puedes sentir su poder para cambiar la sociedad. Este juego no es "tan sólo" un juego. Es un grito por la libertad frente al yugo opresor; pone voz a aquellos ante los que el gran público generalmente aparta la mirada; aborda temas como la raza, el género, la sexualidad, los estereotipos, los derechos humanos... de una manera directa pero sin resultar adoctrinante.

Sólo puedo quitarme el sombrero ante todo el equipo de Naughty Dog y hacerles este pequeño fanart de mi personaje favorito como homenaje. Seguid cambiando el curso de la historia con vuestro arte. <3
