Exploring the character of Saiwa was one of the most interesting challenges in the film, as he needed to look like a strong leader figure but still letting his older age show through his heavy moves. My favorite part to work on with his design were the more subtle and intellectually driven expressions (also… gorilla hands are so cool to draw!) 🦍
